About Me

As the head of engineering and architectural design at a large midwest glass fabrication company, I typically find a rigid and structured interaction with daily design. By contrast, as a painter, my creations can expand beyond the physical and provide an outlet to capturing moments from whimsy to weird.  My paintings typically have a tongue-in cheek element to them and are designed to elicit a smile from the viewer and remind them not to take life so seriously.  Many of my ideas come to me while I am dreaming and are the interpretation of the bedside notes that I write to myself, half-asleep, in the middle of the night.  I like to examine the human condition and wax and wain on the meaning of life and why we are here and what does it all mean.  I think people are funny (intentionally and unintentionally) and I like capturing some of these human moments or concepts in my paintings.
